It was in Primary Lit that I developed a passion for reading and acquired the belief that all students can learn to read. Through that class and others like Remedial and Diagnostic Reading, I had the knowledge and skills to help me successfully complete my Reading Practicum and make it a positive growing experience.

My goal is to obtain a position as a reading specialist or as an educator in a general education classroom. I feel confident that I can provide quality reading instruction in both of those positions. The professors at IW are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about their students. Thank you IW! The professors made the learning very engaging and relevant. I really look forward to having my own Early Childhood classroom and implementing everything that I have learned!

In my mind, if an education program is going to have success it needs to have experience, like the one at IW. I am more prepared for my current teaching career because of the courses and faculty and staff.
