Directcd format and the data format is different as far as I know if you want to reformat the cd-rw disk you will have to use the Directcd program. You may have saved your files using the data format but closed the session the direct cd does not close the session allowing you to drag and drop the files.

I would copy the info on cd using the rom drive then take the cd-rw and click on directcd software look for tools and reformat disk so that you can use the drag and drop features that directcd canoffer you make sure directcd is running in the system tray as it has to be running in the backround.

But, the disc was formatted.

Unfortunately, every possible diagnostic on the disc said it was a CD- R which would explain Roxio's greyed-out button.
